Life Science Run

The Life Science Run 2026 invites runners of all ages to explore the scenic landscapes around Wageningen on November 8th. This annual event offers three distinct race options, catering to participants looking for either a challenging distance or a fun family day out.
Starting at noon sharp, the 10km route welcomes adult competitors with its moderate terrain and picturesque views. Participants can look forward to crossing the finish line just in time for an afternoon prize ceremony, which begins promptly at 1 p.m., celebrating top performers across various categories.
For those who prefer a shorter distance or are there primarily to support their young ones, the kids run kicks off at 1:45 p.m. This special event is exclusively open to children aged up to 14 years and provides an opportunity for them to experience the thrill of racing in a dedicated environment. Due to its focus on fun rather than competition, no age categories are set, ensuring every child feels welcome.
The day concludes with another race option: a family-friendly 5km route that starts at 2:10 p.m., offering runners and walkers alike a chance to enjoy the local scenery while maintaining an easy pace. The event wraps up around 3:10 p.m. when prizes are awarded for this shorter distance, creating yet another moment of celebration.
Pre-registration is open until November 1st but participants can still register on race day at a slightly higher fee—€15 for late registration versus the regular €10 for non-student adults running in the longer event and just an extra €.50 for those entering the kids run or the shorter distance races.
