The fifth edition of the Lianyungang Suning Plaza Vertical Run is set to take place on October 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM. This exciting race offers various categories including adult men's and women's groups as well as an experience group for participants of all ages. For those competing in the adult male category (born before October 2008), the course stretches from the second to the forty-first floor, covering a vertical distance of 188 meters with 1046 steps. The race is equally challenging for women competitors aged between 18 and 55 years old (those born after October 1971). Both groups will climb up to the same height but through different floors. The experience group caters to a broader age range, from children as young as six to adults over sixty. This category covers only ten floors of ascent starting at floor two and ending on the tenth level, providing an accessible yet exhilarating challenge for younger participants who must be accompanied by a guardian during registration and throughout the race. To ensure safety and competitiveness among runners, adult competitors are required to present proof of having completed a 10-kilometer or longer event within one year. Alternatively, those without such certification can provide medical evidence from an examination conducted in the last six months, including electrocardiogram results, heart rate measurements, and blood pressure readings.
