Step into the heart of Place du Général de Gaulle for an afternoon filled with running and camaraderie. The festivities kick off at 1:00 PM when participants can pick up their race numbers and finalize any last-minute registrations until 4:15 PM. The day is packed with a variety of events, catering to runners of all ages and abilities. For the younger set, there are two non-timed children's races that promise fun and excitement on the streets around Place du Général de Gaulle. Meanwhile, older competitors can choose from a 5km race or an invigorating 10km challenge. The longer distance event features a competitive spirit as it recognizes records set in previous years: men aiming to break the Mayor's Prize record of 30 minutes and 57 seconds, while women vie for the Committee Festivals prize with a target time of 41 minutes and 40 seconds. Both prizes come with a generous reward of €400. In addition to running races, there is also an option for those who prefer walking or hiking. A scenic 9km hike awaits explorers of all ages (minimum age requirement is seven years old as of September 12), while more experienced walkers can take on the challenging 14km Nordic Walking route. For a shorter but equally enjoyable experience, there's also a relaxed 5km walk available for everyone. The day culminates in an array of activities that extend beyond just running and walking. Visitors will enjoy live music performances, delicious food stalls, and various games and competitions designed to entertain both participants and spectators alike. Registration is open at Intersport Saint-Quentin Fayet on September 5th from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM for those who prefer to secure their spots in advance. On the day of the event, registration remains possible exclusively through ADEORUN with a €3 surcharge for both the 5km and 10km races. Participants can look forward to receiving special gifts upon sign-up, including premium prizes and rewards for all finishers. The first 300 registrants will also receive unique presents as an added bonus. The detailed schedule includes: - Marche Nordique: Start at 2:45 PM - Randonnée de 9km: Begins promptly at 3:00 PM - Baby's Course (born in or after 2018): Kicks off at 3:00 PM - Benjamins and Minimes Courses (born between 2012 and 2015): Starts right after the baby race, at 3:30 PM - Poussins Course (born in or after 2016): Follows immediately at 3:40 PM - Cadets to Masters Race for 5km & Walkers' Route of 5km: Both events begin together at 3:45 PM For the main event, the 10km race for cadet and master athletes born in or before 2011 will commence at 4:45 PM.
