Chennevières-sur-Marne invites runners of all ages and abilities to the fifth edition of the Foulées Canavéroises, scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026. This convivial race aims to raise awareness about breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month through a series of engaging events that cater to individuals, families, and groups. The event offers three distinct races: an 8-kilometer run starting at 9:00 AM (open to participants aged 15 and over), a 4-kilometer race beginning at 10:30 AM for those aged 13 and older, and a family-friendly 2-kilometer course set to start at 11:10 AM. Each route winds through the charming streets of Chennevières-sur-Marne's city center, taking runners past historical landmarks like Fort Canaverois and along scenic stretches of Mail Daniel Cordier. Participants will gather for a warm-up session with a professional coach before each race begins at Stade Aristide Briand on Rue Aristide Briand. The races are designed to be enjoyable yet challenging, featuring well-marked courses that ensure safety throughout the event. Registration fees vary depending on the distance and method of payment: online registration is cheaper than day-of entry for both distances (8 km costs €8 in advance or €11 at the gate; 4 km costs €4 in advance or €7 at the gate). The family-friendly course, limited to a maximum of four people per group, has an early bird rate of €6 and on-site registration is available. Race numbers can be collected ahead of time from Club Noé (Service Jeunesse) located at 1 bis Rue Clément Ader between October 2nd and 3rd from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, or directly at the event starting an hour before each race’s scheduled start. In addition to the races themselves, participants will enjoy a post-race celebration with awards for both men and women in the top three places of the 8 km and 4 km events. These runners receive not only commemorative cups but also small prizes as part of efforts by Chennevières-sur-Marne to support cancer research through donations to local organizations. The Foulées Canavéroises promises an unforgettable day filled with athletic challenge, community spirit, and a sense of purpose in the fight against breast cancer. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of something greater while enjoying the beautiful surroundings and lively atmosphere that Chennevières-sur-Marne offers. Join us for what is sure to become another memorable edition of an event dedicated not just to running but also to community and health awareness.
