The Entrailles du Baugeois is a charitable trail running event organized by the Runners Baugeois association, scheduled for late April 2026. Set in the heart of the Pays Baugeois in the northern Maine-et-Loire department, the race offers a sporting immersion through unique and preserved paths, blending forested landscapes with the urban heritage of the city of Baugé. Each year, the event honors a specific cause, and for the 2026 edition, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to "Les P’tits Doudous" (Saumur branch), a network of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the well-being and anxiety levels of children undergoing surgery.

Baugé-en-Anjou is a commune in the Maine-et-Loire department of western France, with a population of approximately 11,800 residents. The demographic profile is largely representative of rural Anjou, with a median annual household income of approximately €20,500. Geographically, the area is renowned for its "clochers tors" (twisted spires) and the 15th-century Château de Baugé, built by King René. The terrain is characterized by gentle valleys and ancient woodlands. In late April, the regional weather typically features mild spring conditions; average daytime highs reach 16°C (61°F) while overnight lows stay around 6°C (43°F). However, the region is prone to intermittent spring showers, which can make the forest paths and limestone-paved city streets technical and slippery for runners.
The event is designed to be accessible to all skill levels, from beginners to professional trail runners. Beyond the competitive aspects, the organizers place a heavy emphasis on local solidarity and volunteerism. Interested individuals can join the adventure by signing up as volunteers to assist with course marking, aid stations, and event logistics. Registration is managed through the Runners Baugeois association, with updates provided via their social media channels and email contact. Participants are encouraged to run together and for others, embodying the grassroots spirit of this community-focused race.
