The Défis Raoul 2 is a unique endurance event in the world of Nordic walking, scheduled for May 9–10, 2026, starting from the Jardin des Fêtes in Fougères. It distinguishes itself as the only event in France to offer a true 100 km individual course dedicated exclusively to Nordic walking. The event strictly prohibits competition; the logistical setup is intentionally incompatible with average speeds exceeding 6 km/h, prioritizing safety, solidarity, and a non-competitive atmosphere. Participants in the 100 km distance are equipped with individual GPS beacons to ensure real-time tracking and safety throughout the overnight journey.

Fougères is a town in Brittany, located in the Ille-et-Vilaine department, with a population of approximately 20,500 residents. It is famous for its medieval fortress and rich history tied to the "Chouannerie" resistance. The demographic profile is primarily French, with a median household income of roughly €19,500. The town’s economy has historically transitioned from a thriving shoe industry to a mix of tourism and light manufacturing. Geographically, the race takes place in the rolling terrain of the Fougères countryside and forest, providing a technical but scenic backdrop that is well-suited for long-distance walkers. For this event, €5 from every registration is donated to "Les P'tits Doudous Fougerais," a charity supporting children undergoing surgery at the local hospital.
Registration for the 2026 edition is currently open on Klikego, with the 100 km entries closing significantly earlier than the shorter distances (April 27, 2026). As of early April, the Marathon distance is nearing capacity at 85% full, while the 100 km and Semi distances are at 65% and 71% respectively. All participants start in staggered groups of four, categorized by their expected walking pace, to manage trail flow and ensure safety. A bib exchange ("bourse aux dossards") is available on the registration platform for those looking to transfer their entries. For administrative or registration issues, the point of contact is Maryse Lambert via the organizer's official website.
