Les Boucles Ardennaises

The Boucles Ardennaises takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, starting from the Complexe Sportif de l'Athénée Royal in La Roche-en-Ardenne, Belgium. Designed around the beauty of the Ardennes landscapes and the Ourthe valley, this trail event offers three distances including a 10km course open to walkers, a 21km semi-marathon trail, and a 42km marathon trail through forests, active farms, ridgelines, and stream crossings.

Event Logistics and Participant Information:

• Registration Methods: Online via SQM Time platform, by mail using the registration bulletin, or on site on Friday June 5 (18:00–20:30) and Saturday June 6 (07:00–11:00).
• Bib Collection: Individual bib pickup at the sports complex. A few days before the event, participants receive an email with their bib number and start time.
• Timing: Electronic chip timing provided by Chronorace. The chip is integrated into the bib. Results are available rapidly at www.chronorace.be.
• Aid Stations: Water, biscuits, fruit, and energy drinks available. Participants must use reusable cups to support the green character of the Ardennes.
• Safety: The course is fully marked with signs. Intersections are protected by numerous course marshals.
• Facilities: Showers and changing rooms are available at the Athénée Royal sports complex (start and finish location).
• Cancellation Policy: All registrations are final and non-refundable. A deferral to the following year may be possible in agreement with the organisation.

Route and Atmosphere:

• 10 km Terrain: Small paved roads (55%), dirt paths (40%), and singletrack (5%). Open to walkers as well as runners.
• 21 km Terrain: Small paved roads (15%), dirt paths (70%), and singletrack (15%). Measured according to IAAF rules for 21.100 metres.
• 42 km Terrain: Narrow singletrack, rugged ridgelines, steep hillsides, crossings of the western Ourthe river, and descents through streams.
• Scenic Highlights: Active farms, dense forests, the Ourthe valley, and panoramic views typical of the Ardennes region.
• Awards: Prize ceremony at 14:00 for the top three men and top three women in each distance (10km, 21km, 42km).
• Spectator Experience: Follow live updates and latest information via the official Facebook page. The sports complex setting allows easy spectator access to start, finish, and facilities.
• Community: A sportive invitation to discover the Ardennes through trail running, with a friendly atmosphere and respect for nature at the core of the event.
