The race features a total distance of approximately 36km split into 5 distinct stages, though individual teammates typically cover between 15 to 22km as they share the workload. The course is a masterclass in variety, set on mostly natural and hilly terrain that highlights the region's best training grounds. To keep participants on their toes, the event includes a Bike & Run stage—where pairs must share a single mountain bike—alongside traditional running segments with varying elevation. To foster a friendly atmosphere rather than a high-pressure environment, rankings are calculated using a points-based system according to arrival order, ensuring the "spirit of the quest" remains at the forefront of the competition.

To maintain the intimate quality and legendary atmosphere of the event, participation is strictly limited to 140 teams.
