Lenzie Jog

The Jog, an annual community event jointly organized by Kirkintilloch Olympians and Lenzie Community Council, welcomes runners of all ages and abilities on January 2, 2027. Participants can choose from three distances: a family-friendly 2k run for children aged nine and above (accompanied by adults if under nine), a fun-filled 4.3k route open to those age eleven and older, or an invigorating 8.6k course suitable for runners sixteen years and up.
Registration takes place at the Lenzie Church of Scotland new hall on Moncrieff Avenue from 10am until ten minutes before each race's start time at 11am sharp. The event kicks off in Cedar Drive, just a short walk away from the registration venue near the Co-op store. Pre-entry is recommended to ensure smooth organization and entry on the day is also accepted.
The course weaves through picturesque pavements and paths around Lenzie and Kirkintilloch, offering runners scenic views of local landmarks while fostering community spirit among participants. Entry fees are a modest £3 per person, with race results available afterwards via the club website, SAL (Scottish Athletics League), and Power of 10 platforms.
This event promises an enjoyable day out for families and friends alike, celebrating fitness and camaraderie in a supportive environment.
