About the Event

The 47th annual Lenny & Joe's Madison Turkey Trot, organized and run by the Madison Jaycees, will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 10 am! Once again, the 5 mile race and 2 mile walk are in the heart of Madison, CT. Starting and ending on the historic Madison Town Green, both the run and walk courses feature scenic views of Long Island Sound and some of Madison's most picturesque shoreline neighborhoods. For a course map, please visit www.madisonjc.com.  Again this year....ONLINE registration is open until the start of race!

Long sleeve t-shirts are guaranteed to the first 2,500 pre-registered runners and walkers. Participants will also enjoy a festive post-race party and refreshments. Separate run and walk courses.  The 5-mile run is USATF Course Certified and uses RFID chips. Prizes for the run will be awarded to the top 3 overall finishers, male and female, based on official start time.  Prizes will be awarded to each of the following age groups, male and female, based on chip time: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69...100+, as appropriate.

Packet pick-up will be held at Lenny & Joe's in Madison, 1301 Boston Post Rd, on Tuesday Nov. 25th and Wednesday Nov. 26th from 11 am-6 pm. Stop by for your race bib, timing device and t-shirt and avoid the lines on race day! Packet pick-up is allowed for other racers in your group. Check-in is also available the morning of the race.  Bring your registration QR code found in your confirmation email for a quick process.  Registration fees are $20 for walkers and $30 for runners.  Registration fees will increase at 11:59 pm on Thursday, November 20th to $25 for walkers and $40 for runners.

The Madison Jaycees is an organization that is dedicated to helping individuals, families and charitable organizations along the CT shoreline.  Our events, the Dave Parcells Madison Triathlon, Spring Splash, Benefit Golf Tournament and the Lenny and Joe's Turkey Trot, raise funds used to assist when there is a need.  We thank you for your participation in this event and look forward to seeing you on Thanksgiving morning!

Parking: There are several lots near the Madison Green including the Senior Center, Boston Post Rd in downtown Madison and Stop and Shop.  There are some private lots that graciously allow parking including The First Congregational Church, St. Margaret Church, The Lutheran Church of Madison, OLM Preparatory Academy and the Madison Golf Club.  Please be considerate of the landscape and property and refrain from parking on grass and other non-marked parking spaces.

Event details and schedule:

Pre-race packet pick-up: Tuesday Nov. 25th and Wednesday Nov. 26th from 11 am-6 pm at Lenny and Joe's in Madison, CT.

Race Day: 5 mile run starts at 10:00 am, followed by the 2 mile walk at 10:05 am.

Strollers and leashed pets are allowed on the walk course.  No strollers or pets are allowed on the run course.

Awards and refreshments served immediately following the 5 mile race.  

Best Costume awards given at the end of the race.
