Even Splits Leeds 5K races take place monthly from February through November, setting the stage for runners of all levels to test their speed and stamina on the well-maintained tracks around the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. Each race is meticulously timed using chip technology and endorsed by EA (English Athletics), ensuring that results are officially recorded and visible on Power of 10.
As you cross the finish line, your phone buzzes with an instant text message containing your finishing time. The next day, detailed mile splits will be available online for a thorough analysis of your performance. To sweeten the deal, every participant receives a chocolate bar at the end—a small but appreciated treat after pushing through those last few meters.
Whether you're looking to challenge yourself individually or join forces with friends and competitors in club events, Even Splits Leeds 5K offers an ideal platform for both personal improvement and friendly competition. For solo runners, each entry costs £10 (£12 during peak times), while bulk purchases provide a convenient way to save on fees.
Upon your first registration, you'll receive a race number embedded with a timing chip that can be reused at subsequent Leeds 5K events or the York 5K races throughout the year. Simply collect this unique number from the Registration desk before each event. If you've previously participated and have an existing RED 5K race number (such as those issued between 2020-26), it remains valid for use in future years, provided you include its details on your entry form.
All participants are granted one complimentary replacement of their timing chip within a 12-month period. Additional replacements will incur a charge of £4 to cover the cost and ensure that everyone stays equipped with functional gear.
