Le Havre Urban Trail

Le Havre Urban Trail (LHUT) will take place from 29 to 31 May 2026 in Le Havre, Normandy. This urban trail event offers a unique way to discover the UNESCO-listed city heritage through courses that combine nature, architectural patrimony, and—famously—plenty of staircases. Organized as a return edition after previous success, the event welcomes participants of all levels across multiple distances, from a full marathon to youth races and a vertical climb.

Event Rules and Logistics:

• — Course Integrity: Participants must stay on the official urban course. Shortcuts, missing mandatory stair sections, or receiving external assistance outside designated zones is prohibited.
• — Stair Safety: Due to the high number of stairs (4,600 on the marathon), runners must respect directional signage and avoid overtaking in narrow stairwells. Race marshals will enforce safe passage.
• — Cutoff Times: Specific time limits apply per distance. Runners unable to reach designated checkpoints within cutoff times will be directed to the evacuation route.
• — Eco-Responsible Commitment: The event replaces finisher t-shirts with sustainable alternatives to limit waste and promote a local, low-impact approach.
• — Challenge Fête des Mères: A special mother-child challenge is available on selected courses for families wishing to share the experience.
