Lavardo Fisher 5K

The Inaugural From Grief to Grace — Lavardo “Eljay” Fisher II Memorial 5K, set for October 24, 2026, offers runners the opportunity to participate in an uplifting and meaningful community event. This race honors the memory of young Lavardo "Eljay" Fisher II, who passed away at age 13 due to a tragic accident in Central Florida.
The From Grief to Grace Memorial 5K aims to bring together families, friends, and community members to support one another while raising awareness about critical issues such as responsible gun ownership, safe firearm storage, organ donation through Donate Life education, and grief counseling for those who have lost loved ones. The event provides a platform for participants to connect with resources that promote healing, prevention, compassion, and positive change in the community.
Registration fees are $30 until midnight on October 11, 2026, including a custom race shirt. Late entries cost $35 up until Friday, October 23 at 6pm, while registration on race day is priced at $40. Note that late and same-day registrants may not receive shirts if supplies run out.
The event includes awards for the First Place Overall Male and Female finishers as well as first-place winners in various age groups: 9 & under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Awards will be presented around 9am on race day. Further details regarding pre-race packet pickup will be provided closer to the event date.
