About the Event

LASAA’s mission is to organize athletic events for our members, which include Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department employees and law enforcement officers. We aim to promote health, fitness, and camaraderie among our members.

The Mug Run series began in 1993. Initially, it was primarily attended by law enforcement personnel, with an average of 10 runners each time. Over the years, we’ve expanded our participation to include the general public. Today, we have over 300 runners participating in the Mug Run. This race offers friendly competition and positive interactions between law enforcement and the community.

This race is commemorating the one-year anniversary of the Altadena Eaton Fire. One year after the Eaton Fire blackened the ridges above our town, this inaugural run stands as a powerful symbol of recovery. It's a tribute, to those who lost, those who helped, and those who are rebuilding. the Inaugural Altadena Forever Run, commemorating the one-year anniversary of the Altadena Eaton Fire, honoring our community's resilience and recovery.

This event welcomes everyone. Your participation, sponsorship, and presence show solidarity and hope. Proceeds from the Altadena Forever Run support Eaton Fire survivors, helping families restore what was lost and strengthen what endures. The race also helps support the Altadena Sheriff’s Support Group.

About Altadena

Altadena is an unincorporated area, and census-designated place in the San Gabriel Valley and the Verdugos regions of Los Angeles County, California. Directly north of Pasadena, it is located approximately 14 miles (23 km) from Downtown Los Angeles. Its population was 42,846 at the 2020 census, up slightly from a 2010 figure of 42,777. In early 2025, the community was severely impacted by the Eaton Fire.
