About the Event
Part of the SKYLINE trail series, this race starts September 26-27 at the Basum Lake visitor center parking lot in Nyingchi, Tibet, with 100KM, 50KM, 20KM, and a 10KM "Hike" category. Registration opens May 22 at 9:30. The 100KM (100.7km, 2,602m gain/loss, elevation 3,485m-4,710m, ITRA ~3 points) starts 7:30 with a 28-hour cutoff; the 50KM (47.6km, 1,985m gain/loss, ITRA ~2 points) starts 7:30 with a 15-hour cutoff; the 20KM (21.3km, 488m gain/loss, elevation up to 3,925m, ITRA ~1 point) starts 8:00 with an 8-hour cutoff; the 10KM Hike starts 9:00 with an 8-hour cutoff. Tibet's first 100K trail race of the year, chasing a pure alpine skyline through the foothills of the Nyenchen Tanglha range up to 4,710m, mountain and sacred lake side by side.
