Join us for the Kettle Classic, Lad Lake’s annual Bike • Walk • Run event celebrating community, movement, and impact. This family-friendly day brings people together to support more than 1,100 youth and families across Wisconsin through Lad Lake’s trauma-informed, evidence-based programs focused on mental health, healing, and education.
Whether you’re cycling through the scenic Kettle Moraine, tackling the 5K Trail Challenge, walking at your own pace, or taking on the NEW Duathlon, there’s an option for everyone. Enjoy music, kids’ activities, a delicious barbecue lunch, and great company—all while making a meaningful difference.

Bike Rides
Choose from three non-competitive routes through the scenic Kettle Moraine, all with SAG support and rest stops.
100K Ride
Start: 7:00 AM (Line up at 6:45 AM)
Must finish by 12:45 PM
15-mile & 30-mile Rides
Start: 9:00 AM (Line up at 8:45 AM)
Must finish by 12:45 PM
Start Time: 9:30 AM
Get ready for the 5K Trail Challenge, set against the beautiful Lad Lake campus. This course combines natural terrain, scenic views, and just the right level of challenge—perfect for runners and joggers alike.
After crossing the finish line, enjoy snacks, a delicious lunch, music, and festivities. Participants can also enjoy a scenic pontoon boat ride on our private lake, turning race day into a mini-getaway.
🏅 Awards:
The top 3 male and female finishers will receive a custom medal immediately after finishing.
Looking for an extra challenge—or a fun way to team up? The Kettle Classic Duathlon combines the 5K run with a 15-mile bike ride.
Choose your option:
Solo Duathlon: Complete both the 5K run and 15-mile bike
Relay Duathlon: One participant runs the 5K, the other completes the bike ride
🕘 Duathletes start with the 5K at 9:30 AM, then transition to the bike course.
🏅 Awards will be given to top Solo and Relay finishers.

Not interested in a 5K? Join us for a relaxed 2-mile walk and enjoy the scenic views of our campus. A great option for families and anyone looking to support a great cause at their own pace.
Can’t attend in person? Participate from anywhere!
Bike, walk, or run wherever you are—on a treadmill, around your neighborhood, or even in your living room. Your virtual participation still supports Lad Lake’s mission and makes a real difference.
