La Varennoise 12ème édition VTT et Pédestre

On September 6, 2026, the club will host its annual cycling and hiking event for the twelfth consecutive year: La Varennoise. The day promises to be filled with scenic routes and friendly competition as participants gather at the town hall of Varennes starting from 8 a.m.
For cyclists, two challenging circuits await – a shorter route spanning 25 kilometers and a more ambitious one covering 45 kilometers. Cyclists can register for either course online in advance for €8 or opt to pay an additional €2 on-site if they choose to sign up at the event itself. Both routes wind through picturesque landscapes, offering participants stunning views of rolling hills and lush forests.
Hikers will have a single trail stretching 13 kilometers that takes them along tranquil paths and charming countryside vistas. The hiking portion is priced at just €5 per participant when registered beforehand; however, those who decide to sign up on the day itself will need to add an extra €2 to their registration fee.
Refreshment stations are strategically placed throughout both cycling routes and the hike, ensuring that all participants can replenish their energy as needed. Cyclists also have access to a bike wash station at the finish line, allowing them to clean off any dirt or mud accumulated during their ride before heading home. To cap it all off, cyclists will be treated to complimentary refreshments upon crossing the finish line.
