Bessières is set to host the fourth edition of La Sein’gulière on Saturday, October 17, 2026, continuing its tradition as an essential part of Octobre Rose. This year’s event promises a day filled with athletic challenges and community spirit through three distinct activities: a 5 km run, a 10 km race, and a 7 km walk.
The course weaves through the charming streets of Bessières, offering participants scenic routes that highlight both the town's historic architecture and its vibrant neighborhoods. The event is designed to be inclusive, welcoming runners and walkers alike who wish to support breast cancer awareness while enjoying an engaging day out in the community.
Registration for La Sein’gulière has now opened on ChronoStart, with previous editions seeing full capacity weeks before their respective dates. Early sign-up ensures a guaranteed spot at this anticipated annual event.
With nearly 1200 participants expected to take part, local volunteers play an integral role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of La Sein’gulière. Bessières invites all interested individuals aged over 18 with valid driving licenses (permis B) who are available on the afternoon of October 17th to sign up as volunteer marshals.
Volunteers will be stationed at key points along the route, providing essential support by managing traffic and ensuring participant safety throughout the event. Those wishing to join can register their interest by emailing
[email protected]. Pre-event training sessions and a thorough briefing on the day itself are provided to all volunteers, with necessary equipment supplied by Bessières.
Beyond contributing to a well-organized community event that unites hundreds of participants each year, volunteering at La Sein’gulière is also an opportunity to make a tangible impact in the fight against breast cancer. This civic engagement supports both athletic achievement and charitable causes, making it a rewarding experience for all involved.
La Sein’gulière invites you to be part of this meaningful day in Bessières, whether as a participant or volunteer, celebrating health and solidarity through sport.
