About the Event

On September 6, 2026, the picturesque village of Seilhac will host the fifth edition of an exciting race around the stunning Etang de Bournazel. This unique course offers runners their first chance to circumnavigate this tranquil body of water thanks to a collaborative effort between local authorities and private landowners.
The event promises scenic views as participants meander through lush landscapes, crossing paths with serene waters and verdant fields that surround the etangs of Bournazel and Pissevache. The race is designed for runners aged 12 and older who are comfortable swimming should they encounter any water-based obstacles along the way; however, these can be bypassed if necessary.
Registration opens at 9:00 AM with packet pickup available throughout this time frame until participants set off in waves of twenty every fifteen minutes starting from 9:45 AM. The race is an engaging experience for both seasoned runners and those looking to explore the scenic beauty of Seilhac’s countryside.
Post-race, a well-deserved meal awaits at just €13 per person, featuring traditional local fare such as pork eminence paired with fries, followed by cheese and tart. Refreshments are also available throughout the day for participants and spectators alike.
To ensure peace of mind, an optional cancellation insurance is offered to cover refunds should unforeseen circumstances prevent participation. Once registered, however, entries become non-refundable except in cases where this insurance has been purchased.
This event not only celebrates the natural beauty of Seilhac but also fosters community spirit and appreciation for local heritage through sport.
