La Couronne trail de la chandeleur 2027

The Trail de la Chandeleur 2027 offers runners an enchanting blend of navigation and endurance across the scenic trails of La Couronne. On January 30, 2027, participants can choose from five distinct events: a day trail (9 km), two night trails (10 km and 18 km), and orientation-based races (Trail-O and Rand-O).
The Trail de la Chandeleur features an engaging mix of terrain—primarily dirt paths and "singles"—through the forest known as Bois Brulé. The day trail covers a varied landscape with rolling hills, while night runners will navigate through more technical sections under starlight.
Participants in the 10 km and 18 km night races can look forward to an additional challenge: joining the departmental "challenge nocturne," adding prestige for top finishers. Both courses wind through small cliffs and rugged terrain, offering a unique experience of La Couronne’s diverse landscape after dark.
The event encourages runners to bring their own hydration systems and navigation tools like headlamps or compasses for night races. A final reward awaits all participants at the finish line: hearty soup and crepes, perfectly fitting the Chandeleur theme.
Registration fees vary by race distance but are discounted when completed online before January 29th. Detailed rules and information can be found on www.cof16.fr or downloaded from their site. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore La Couronne’s trails in a unique setting!
