La corrida de Pontivy

Set against the historic backdrop of Pontivy, the inaugural edition of the ACRLP Corrida is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026. Organized by the local section of the ACRLP and supported by the City of Pontivy, this new race offers runners a unique opportunity to explore the charming streets of Napoléonien in two measured distances: 5 km and 10 km.
The event promises an engaging experience with courses that loop through picturesque neighborhoods. Both races feature minimal elevation changes and offer several exciting sprint sections along their routes. The starting line and finish area are situated on Place Aristide Briand (La Plaine), providing a central location for participants to gather before the race begins at 6:45 PM for the 5 km event, followed by the 10 km race at 7:45 PM.
Open to both licensed runners and newcomers alike, each category welcomes athletes from minimes born in or after 2012. Participants can look forward to spirited competition as they navigate through the well-marked paths of Pontivy's historic district. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both races.
To ensure a comfortable race day, there will also be a refreshment station available on-site for runners to enjoy after their efforts. The ACRLP Corrida is set to become an annual highlight for local sports enthusiasts and visitors alike, celebrating running while immersing participants in the rich history of Pontivy.
