Huis Hoop vzw invites participants of all ages to join their annual running event dedicated to those living with cancer. The race takes place on October 10, 2026, at the Dendermondsesteenweg 46 in Krokegem (Asse), Belgium. The day begins at 2:00 PM with a special activity for young children—the Kleuterloop, where kids up to six years old will run a fun course of 200 meters. Following this, from 2:30 PM onwards, the Kinderloop welcomes participants aged seven to nine years old for a slightly longer distance of 300 meters. At 4:00 PM, children between ten and twelve years can take part in the Jeugdloop, covering an extended course of 600 meters. The main event kicks off at 5:30 PM with a Jogging race that offers both five-kilometer and ten-kilometer options for runners to choose from. The start and finish lines are located on Kerkplein near the Oude Dendermondse Baan, providing scenic views of the Brabantse Kouters. The route features gentle hills, reaching up to 45 meters in elevation, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience for joggers. Children's events are free of charge, while pre-registration for adults costs €7 and day-of registration is priced at €10. Each participant will receive special attention, with a fun tombola draw held exclusively for the adult runners who have signed up. The first three finishers in each age category as well as the top three from Asse itself will be awarded unique prizes. Participants can enjoy dressing facilities and are encouraged to join this uplifting event that supports those affected by cancer. Please note, however, that participation is at your own risk; organizers do not assume responsibility for any accidents or incidents that may occur during the race. The Huis Hoop vzw Race promises a day filled with community spirit, scenic routes through beautiful Brabant landscapes, and opportunities to support those in need while enjoying an engaging running experience.
