Kids Holiday Triathlon Training Camp

Experience the thrill of triathlon training at Palmer Park Leisure Centre on October 27, 2026. This day camp is designed for young athletes born between 2010 and 2018 who are eager to dive into the world of triathlon in a fun and supportive environment.
The camp runs from 9 AM to 4 PM, offering participants an exciting mix of activities that cater to all skill levels. From ice breaker games to transition practice, each session is carefully crafted by experienced coaches from Reading Rascal Junior Triathlon Club who are dedicated to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of every child through enhanced DBS checks and current safeguarding qualifications.
The day begins with a warm welcome followed by an introduction to Palmer Park's facilities: a 25-meter indoor pool for swimming practice, an outdoor cycling velodrome for road bike training on concrete surfaces, and a 400-meter running track. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in various activities such as mini triathlons, individual duathlons, team duathlons, ice breaker games, transition drills, pool sessions, treasure hunts, and much more.
To participate, children must be able to swim a minimum of 50 meters unaided. They should also bring their own roadworthy bike suitable for the velodrome and pack snacks and lunch for the day. This camp promises an unforgettable experience where young athletes can learn new skills, make friends, and have fun while embracing the spirit of triathlon.
