Join Anaweza for Our First Annual 5K & Fun Run!
Come run, walk, or cheer with us at Gainesville’s downtown Midland Greenway as we launch Anaweza’s first annual community 5K benefiting Anaweza Kenya, an organization working to make healthcare and education accessible to underserved communities in rural Kisumu County, Kenya.
5K Run/Walk (All Ages & Abilities Welcome!)
The 5K course is open to participants of all experience levels. Awards will be presented three deep in:
Overall
Master’s
Age group categories
We’ll also have:
A stroller division award
A four-legged friend division (starts at 8:05 AM), with a prize for the first dog-and-owner team to cross the finish line
1K (.6 mile) Fun Run

7:00 AM — Packet pickup opens
7:45 AM — Pre-race meeting at the start line
8:00 AM — 5K begins
8:05 AM — Four-legged friend division begins
8:45 AM — Fun Run begins
9:00 AM — Awards ceremony (Amphitheater area)
Free parking is available near the Greenway.
