KCT Trail Fest 2026

KCT Trail Fest 2026 returns to Kennebunkport, Maine on August 9th, offering runners a unique blend of challenge and celebration through our scenic trail system.
Race morning finds the park bustling with activity as families gather in anticipation. The air is crisp at around 16.5°C and feels comfortable with an average humidity level of 78.4%. Participants will start their journey from the headquarters, winding through well-maintained trails that offer firm yet slightly soft terrain underfoot.
For those aiming for a challenge, the 10k Run or 5k Walk are perfect options. The 10k course meanders through diverse landscapes before culminating at our headquarters where an afternoon of festivities awaits. Meanwhile, the shorter 5k race offers participants a swift and scenic route that concludes right back at base.
The courses provide runners with firm yet slightly soft terrain throughout. Participants will start their journey from the headquarters around 9:00 AM, heading out on routes that include notable features like gentle inclines and downhill stretches before reaching the finish line. Aid stations are strategically placed to ensure hydration and energy replenishment during the race.
The weather on race day promises a comfortable experience with an average temperature of about 19.9°C, which feels similar due to low wind speeds at around 11.4 km/h. With moderate humidity levels and only minimal rainfall risk, runners can expect clear skies for most of the event duration—about 11 hours and 9 minutes of sunshine.

The race offers a 10k Run or 10K with a fee of $44.79 and a 5k Walk or Run with a fee of $39.44 for early registrants before July 15th, noon. Check in begins at the headquarters from 9:00 AM onwards.
Bib pickup is available on race day starting at 8:30 AM. Bring your ID and proof of payment to claim your bib number and timing chip. The start location is the Kennebunkport park headquarters with a minimum age requirement for participants being 16 years or older, though younger runners can join in the fun with parental permission.
