Junior Salty September Holiday Program 2026

Immerse yourself in the Junior Salty Squad September School Holiday Program, designed specifically for 9-14 year old swimming enthusiasts. This program features two exciting Wednesday morning sessions on September 23rd and 30th from 7:30am to 8:45am at Tallebudgera Beach.
Each session begins with a meet-up at Talle Creek, the picturesque spot in front of Neptunes Lifesaving Club. From there, participants head out into the ocean for an action-packed morning filled with skill-building exercises and fun activities focused on surf skills and swim fitness development.
Led by expert coaches Karla Gilbert, Adam Pine, and Ty Dowker, these sessions emphasize a comprehensive approach to open water swimming through the 3R Program: Reading Conditions, Relaxing in Conditions, and Ripping-In in Conditions. This program ensures that young swimmers not only gain technical skills but also develop confidence and an understanding of ocean safety.
Participants must be able to swim 200 meters continuously and tread water for three minutes in open water conditions. The sessions are suitable for all levels—from beginners to those looking to refine their existing abilities—and the environment is supportive, encouraging friendships that last beyond the program’s duration.
The cost for both sessions is $52.50 ($25 per session plus a 5% online processing fee). Should weather or water conditions force us to reschedule one of these mornings, we will promptly arrange make-up sessions and ensure all participants are informed well in advance.
