Julestjerneløbet 2026

Join the Julestjerneløbet on December 6, 2026, for a festive run through Store Dyrehave near Hillerød. This beloved tradition invites families to lace up their shoes and explore the scenic woodland paths laid out by King Christian V as part of his hunting grounds.
The race features various distances suitable for all ages: a fun-filled children's route at 2.1 km, two challenging runs - a half marathon and a 15km course - both starting at 10:45 AM, followed by a walking event, and shorter options like the 10km and 5km races beginning shortly after noon.
Participants will gather at Overdrevsvejen in Store Dyrehave for an enjoyable morning of racing. The woodland setting offers stunning views and crisp winter air, perfect for runners looking to experience Denmark's natural beauty during the holiday season.
The event includes chip timing, medals for all finishers, and post-race refreshments such as homemade soup and fruit at the finish line area.
Don't miss this opportunity to take part in a cherished Danish tradition that brings together athletes of all ages on one of the first Sundays of December each year since 1980.
