About the Event

A trail race that starts and finishes at the front of Joetsu-Myoko Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, about two hours from Tokyo. That makes it possible to travel from Tokyo on the morning of the race, and the station area has hotels, hot springs and restaurants for those who want to stay on.
Roughly 2 km from the station the route is already on single track, passing thatched-roof villages, sculpted rice terraces, hills looking over the Sea of Japan and beech old-growth forest. Distances are a 1 to 2 km kids race for elementary school pupils, 14 km, 35 km and 50 km, with discounted entry for runners aged 29 and under. Local beer, sake and seafood await after the finish.
