Jive Turkey Cranksgiving Cyclocross Race

The inaugural Jive Turkey Cranksgiving Cyclocross takes place at Anson B. Nixon Park, nestled in the heart of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. This unique cyclocross event aims to bring together cyclists and spectators alike for a thrilling day filled with competition and community spirit.
Organized by local cycling enthusiasts, this first-year event features a challenging yet enjoyable course designed by Blake Tart. The course promises a mix of technical sections and flowing trails that will test the skills and endurance of all participants.
The race venue is conveniently located at 405 N Walnut St in Kennett Square, PA 19348. Pre-registration is highly recommended to avoid an additional $10 day-of fee. Registration opens at 7:15 am on the event day, with a 15-minute window before each race start time for those who wish to participate in multiple events.
Participants can expect a well-organized setup, including a staging area where all racers should be present 15 minutes prior to their designated race. A technical pit will also be available approximately halfway through the course, allowing riders to make necessary adjustments or exchanges before continuing on the challenging terrain.
For those who find themselves lapped during the race, the event ensures safety and fair play by requiring lapped riders to yield to leaders and avoid interfering with their progress. Call-up protocol is based on pre-registration order, ensuring a fair start for all participants.
Post-race results will be posted at designated locations after each race concludes. Racers have 15 minutes following result posting to resolve any discrepancies before the final official results are announced. Any further disputes must be addressed in writing via email to the riders' local association contact.
Parking is available near Tino Leto Fields, with instructions for participants to park as close as possible while maintaining a continuous flow of vehicles. Additional parking options are also provided at the main and overflow lots accessible from Walnut Road.
Safety standards are strictly enforced; all cyclists must wear helmets when on bicycles, even in non-racing areas. Additionally, racers must comply with USAC regulations by wearing jerseys with sleeves covering the shoulders—no tank tops allowed—and must refrain from using race radios or earphones for playback during competition.
A special kids' race is scheduled to begin at noon, catering specifically to young cyclists aged 10 and under. Parents are required to sign an event release form prior to their child's participation, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. Prizes will be awarded to every kid who completes the race.
While food options remain to be announced, restrooms will be readily available throughout the park, including portable facilities near the main parking area.
