Jing County Mountain Trail Race · Autumn Edition 2026 (2026“山水为泾”泾县越野赛·秋季赛)

The 2026 Autumn Edition of the "Shan Shui Wei Jing" Jingshan Mountain Trail Race is set to take place on Sunday, October 18th at 8:00 AM. The race will start from the picturesque Little Li River Bamboo Rafting site in Pingyuan Secret Realm within Huangcun Town, Jixian County, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province.
This scenic event offers three distinct courses to cater to various skill levels and interests:
- Seek Autumn 10KM: With a total elevation gain of 239 meters and reaching its highest point at an altitude of 131 meters, this course is designed for runners who wish to explore the region's stunning fall foliage. The race has a cutoff time of four hours.
- Over Mountain 24KM: For those seeking more challenging terrain, the Over Mountain route offers a total elevation gain of 422 meters and reaches its peak at an altitude of 232 meters. This course is also completed within a four-hour timeframe.
- Cloudy Leisure 10KM (Non-Timed): The Cloudy Leisure trail allows runners to enjoy the beauty of Jingshan County without timing constraints, featuring a total elevation gain of 239 meters and reaching its highest point at an altitude of 131 meters. This route has an eight-hour cutoff time.
Jingxian County is famously known as "Little Li River" in southern Anhui Province and serves as the birthplace of Xuan paper, a renowned traditional Chinese art material. Nestled between iconic landscapes like Yellow Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, and Taiping Lake, this area boasts breathtaking natural scenery that changes dramatically with each season.
In October, the landscape transforms into a golden wonderland, perfect for runners to experience nature's splendor while navigating through picturesque villages, tranquil forests, serene bamboo groves, shimmering rivers, and rolling fields. The race course has been slightly adjusted from previous years, promising new challenges and vistas.
Participants will traverse five scenic checkpoints along the route: Water, Bamboo Grove, Forest, Field, and Village - encapsulating the essence of "Shan Shui Wei Jing." As autumn winds sweep through the mountains, runners can expect to be greeted by a carpet of fallen leaves underfoot. This event offers an immersive journey into the heart of Anhui's stunning mountain trails during peak fall season.
