About the Event

The 10th annual Jamaco River Run and Post-Race celebration will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026. This is a fun, family-friendly day complete with a Kid's Fun Run, a USATF certified & sanctioned 5K road race, and a post-race event with music, a craft beer tent, burgers and dogs, activities for the kids, award ceremony and an amazing prize raffle. Registration & Bib Pickup will begin at 8am at Waterhouse Field (74 E. Main St, Merrimac, MA). Free parking is available on site. The Kids Fun Run kicks off at 9am followed by the 5K walk/run at 10am. The first 200 registrants receive a custom commemorative t-shirt, and a free beer (21+).

We are excited for 2026 to be our biggest turnout yet, and we once again look forward to giving back to our local community! Thank you for your support!

Merrimac is a small town in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States, located on the southeastern border of New Hampshire, approximately 34 miles (55 km) northeast of Boston and 10 miles (16 km) west of the Atlantic Ocean. It was incorporated on April 11, 1876. It is situated along the north bank of the Merrimack River in the Merrimack Valley. The population was 6,723 at the 2020 census. Historically a mill town, it has long since become a largely residential community. It is part of the Greater Boston metropolitan area.
