On October 3rd, the Municipality of Azuqueca de Henares teams up with Club Atletismo Azuqueca to host the "IV Nocturnal Race of Azuqueca – Francisco J. Barril" edition featuring a 10km and a 5km race. The evening kicks off at 8:00 PM, offering runners an enchanting night-time experience through the illuminated streets of Azuqueca de Henares.
The route for both distances winds through picturesque neighborhoods, showcasing the town's vibrant atmosphere under moonlight. Participants will navigate well-lit pathways that highlight local landmarks and parks, making it a visually captivating journey. The 10km race presents an additional challenge with varied terrain including stretches of flat road and gentle inclines, ensuring runners encounter diverse conditions throughout their run.
For those preferring shorter distances or looking to participate as a family event, the 5km option provides a perfect balance between enjoyment and fitness. Both races are timed professionally but focus on creating an inclusive environment where all participants can celebrate their achievements.
