About the Event

On November 7, 2026, the charming town of Brzesko hosts its annual "11 Kilometers for Independence" race. The main event kicks off at 11:11 AM near Hala Zespołu Szkół Technicznych i Branżowych on Piastowska Street, offering runners a scenic route through historic and picturesque landscapes.
The 11.8-kilometer course is meticulously marked every kilometer with clear signage to guide participants along the way. Runners can expect an engaging race experience as they navigate varied terrain that showcases Brzesko's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. The event also includes a shorter, 5.5-kilometer run starting at 11:09 AM for those looking for a more moderate challenge.
For Nordic walking enthusiasts, there is a parallel 5.5-kilometer race beginning at 11:12 AM, providing an opportunity to explore the same scenic route while enjoying the benefits of Nordic walking techniques. Both races feature electronic timing systems and have generous time limits—120 minutes for the main event and 70 minutes for the run.
The day's festivities are rounded out by fun runs for children at 10:10 AM, with distances ranging from 150 meters to 600 meters. These races offer a playful introduction to running for young participants in Brzesko’s vibrant community atmosphere.
