The 5k route winds through lush woodland trails and tracks illuminated by flickering lanterns and the glow of torches carried by runners. Joining you on this spooky journey are costumed volunteers who will guide your way as witches, wizards, goblins, ghosts, and ghouls. The softer underfoot paths and hard-packed tracks provide a versatile terrain for trail or road shoes.
For those looking to enjoy Halloween with their little ones, the 2k Family Fun Run offers an equally magical adventure through shorter woodland trails, complete with all the enchanting elements of the night-time event.
Upon crossing the finish line, you’ll receive an exclusive 'Irchester Spooktacular' medal and a bag filled with Halloween-themed sweet treats. Free digital photos captured during your run will be available for download shortly after the race on our social media platforms.
Safety is paramount at Race Harborough events, ensuring that professional first aid support is readily accessible throughout Irchester Country Park. Volunteers in elaborate costumes line the course to keep participants safe and motivated as they navigate their way through the night.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for both runs. The minimum age requirements are 4 years old for the 2k run and 11 years old for the 5k race, encouraging families of all ages to participate in this spooky yet delightful event.
Entries will close one week before the race date, ensuring that you have ample time to prepare your costume and gather your running gear. Be sure to bring a head torch or small handheld light as visibility can be limited during night-time runs.
