Embark on the journey of a lifetime with the Inca Marathon, Peru on May 24th, 2026, a spectacular trail race that takes you through the heart of the Andes near the vicinity of the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Choose your challenge: the full 42 km Marathon, the demanding Half Marathon (21 km), or the scenic 10K, all winding through the valleys of Salkantay before finishing in Machu Picchu village. The marathon route features a substantial accumulated elevation, including $1,750$m of positive climb and $3,040$m of negative descent, crossing ancient dirt roads and single tracks to the Llactapata ruins. Beyond the race, Wildmarathon offers a comprehensive six-day program that combines acclimatization training with guided visits to Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and the Eighth Wonder of the World, making this an essential bucket-list adventure. Earn 2 ITRA points and experience a race where ancient history meets extreme endurance.
