The Imaruí Ultra Trail was created in 2024, conceived by sports photographer Manoel Rene and organized by On Sports, with the purpose of providing a challenging experience amidst the raw and beautiful nature of Imaruí, in southern Santa Catarina.
More than just a race, it's a true immersion in the region's technical trails, with varied terrain, demanding elevation gain, and a course that tests the physical and mental endurance of the athletes. The event has three distances: 50K, 22K, and 10K, all starting at the Três Cachoeiras Restaurant, located on the Estrada Geral Forquilhinha do Aratingauba.
The elevation profile is impressive: 2,700m of elevation gain in the 50K, 980m in the 22K, and 460m in the 10K, demanding preparation and strategy from the runners. The route includes closed trails, steep climbs, and breathtaking scenery – ideal for those seeking the true spirit of trail running.
Since its debut, the Imaruí Ultra Trail has been part of the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) calendar, reinforcing its credibility and growth potential on the national and international stage.
