II CORRIDA DA CONSCIÊNCIA NEGRA DO AMAZONAS

On November 20, 2026, the first edition of the Corrida da Consciência Negra do Amazonas will take place, celebrating Black Awareness Day. Organized by Borges Consultoria e Assessoria and FUCABEAM (the Federation of Afro Cults in Amazonas), this race honors Tiago Antônio de Oliveira Fraga, a high-performance athlete who represented the state globally.
Participants must adhere to rules set forth by CBAT and FEDEAM, including mandatory use of bib numbers during the event. The 5km course begins at Ponta Negra Beach's receded parking lot in Manaus, offering runners stunning views along the Amazon River coastline. Spectators will line the route, creating an electric atmosphere as competitors pass through iconic landmarks.
The race offers a range of awards for various categories including general male and female winners, paralympic athletes (wheelchair), visually impaired participants with guides, all receiving trophies in their respective divisions. All finishers within 90 minutes receive medals commemorating the event.
In addition to enjoying beautiful scenery, runners will contribute to important social causes by participating in this meaningful race that celebrates Afro-Brazilian heritage and promotes awareness of racial equality issues.
