Huntsville Rocket City Riddle Run

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Swiss Alps, the Alpine Summit Run offers runners an unforgettable journey through some of Europe's most breathtaking natural scenery. This challenging course takes participants from the charming village of Zermatt up to iconic Mount Matterhorn and back down again over a distance of 26 miles (41 kilometers). The route features steep ascents and descents, winding paths that hug mountain cliffs, and panoramic views at every turn.
As runners ascend through lush Alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers, they will encounter quaint chalets and historic hiking trails. Near the summit, the air grows thinner as the elevation reaches over 3,000 meters (9,842 feet), testing both physical endurance and mental fortitude. The descent back to Zermatt reveals a different perspective on this beloved mountain landscape, with runners enjoying a gradual return through dense forests and scenic valleys.
The event is known for its supportive community atmosphere, as fellow participants cheer each other on throughout the challenging course. Post-race festivities in the lively village of Zermatt include live music, local food stalls offering traditional Swiss dishes, and an awards ceremony celebrating all finishers with unique commemorative medals.
