Huntsville Rocket City Riddle Run

On the crisp autumn morning of October 14, 2026, runners will converge on the picturesque town of Maplewood for the annual Autumn Leaf Trot. Nestled among rolling hills and vibrant foliage, this race offers participants a scenic journey through winding trails and quaint villages. The course begins at the historic Town Hall Square, where early risers can enjoy the morning dew glistening on golden leaves before setting off.
As runners navigate the challenging yet rewarding terrain, they will encounter several inclines that test their endurance while offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The race route winds through a canopy of maple and oak trees, creating a tunnel-like effect with colors ranging from fiery reds to deep oranges. Alongside the trail are friendly spectators cheering on runners at various checkpoints.
The highlight of the event is crossing the finish line back in Maplewood's bustling town center, where refreshments await along with live music performances celebrating the season’s harvest spirit. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for an enjoyable fall outing, the Autumn Leaf Trot promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with natural beauty and community camaraderie.
For those who prefer shorter distances, there is also a 5K option that follows a similar route but ends earlier in the scenic village of Oakville. Both races are designed not only for competitive athletes but also for recreational runners seeking a unique fall adventure amidst nature's splendor.
