The Hose10, presented by Stilton Striders Running Club in collaboration with Hose Village Hall as part of the Lincolnshire Road Race League (LRRL), offers a unique challenge for seasoned runners looking to step up their distance. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Vale of Belvoir on Sunday, September 13th, 2026, this inaugural event invites participants to explore over ten miles of rolling countryside and tranquil roads.
The race begins at Hose Village Hall with clear signage guiding athletes through a single loop course that showcases the rural beauty of the region. Marshals will be stationed along the route to ensure safety and provide support throughout the 10-mile journey. Runners can expect two water stations, located strategically at mile markers four and seven.
While open initially only to members of LRRL-affiliated clubs who have an individual registration with England Athletics, this event welcomes all runners interested in pushing their limits within a supportive community setting. For those without current affiliation through the organization but still eager to participate, there is an unaffiliated entry option available at a slightly higher cost.
Chip timing ensures accurate results for each competitor, and race numbers can be collected on-site by designated club representatives from 8:00 AM until registration closes at 9:30 AM. It's essential that all participants adhere to the strict cut-off time of 12:30 PM to ensure a smooth event flow.
Safety is paramount; therefore, headphones and bone conduction devices are prohibited during race hours. The village hall car park opens from 8:00 AM for early arrivals and closes at noon for those needing later departures due to limited space constraints. Organizers encourage runners to coordinate with their clubs regarding transportation arrangements to minimize parking congestion.
On-site amenities include portable toilets, a designated area for club tents near the finish line, and ample opportunities for socializing before and after the event. Prizes will be awarded to top male and female finishers as well as in each age category, adding an extra layer of excitement for all competitors aiming to stand out on race day.
With a maximum capacity of 750 entries, interested runners are advised to secure their spots early via online registration or at the event itself. Affiliated members can register for £20 while non-affiliated participants will pay £22. Last-minute adjustments to entry details may be made until September 6th through an online portal and up until race day during on-site sign-up hours.
