Start your holiday season with an enchanting evening run through Cherokee County Veteran's Park. The Holiday Lights 5K kicks off the annual Christmas Light Display at sundown and promises a magical experience for runners of all ages.
As you set out on this illuminated journey, each lap takes you through a breathtaking tunnel of twinkling lights that stretch far into the night sky. Your path will wind past beautifully decorated trees and vibrant displays until you reach the finish line inside the Buzz Center where Santa himself awaits to greet participants.
Headlamps are recommended for optimal visibility as you navigate the scenic course under the glow of thousands of holiday bulbs. The race is fully chip-timed, ensuring accurate results for all competitors.
In addition to an unforgettable run, each registrant will receive a guaranteed event t-shirt in their size until November 8th, with limited sizes available afterward on a first-come-first-served basis. All finishers can look forward to receiving a commemorative medal at the end of the race.
For those who wish to participate as part of a team, forming groups of five or more will earn you an additional $5 discount per person starting from August 22nd. This event not only offers fun and camaraderie but also supports Speed for Need, this year's designated charity beneficiary that provides essential services to the community.
Join us on Race Day for packet pickup beginning at 4:00 PM followed by a special start time of 6:05 PM for individual runners with wheelchair drivers starting earlier at 6:00 PM. Awards will be presented promptly at 7:00 PM, celebrating the spirit and achievements of all participants.
