Hivernal des Cross duathlon au Lac Genin (OYONNAX)

The Cross Duathlon offers four distinct formats catering to various age groups and skill levels, providing an engaging challenge for all participants. The youth categories feature shorter distances designed specifically for young athletes, ensuring they have a fun and safe experience.
For the youngest competitors aged 6 to 8 years old, the Jeunes 1 category includes a swim of 250 meters followed by one kilometer run, concluding with another 250-meter swim. This format allows children to develop their swimming and running skills in a supportive environment while enjoying the thrill of competition.
Slightly older participants aged 9 to 11 years old can take part in Jeunes 2, which comprises a longer distance: 500 meters for both swimming legs with two kilometers between them. This category helps build endurance and confidence as young athletes tackle more challenging distances.
For adults looking for an exciting and varied race experience, the XS format is ideal. It features a swim of just under three kilometers (2 km) split into segments of roughly 500 meters each, followed by five-point-five kilometers run, then another short swim of approximately one kilometer to complete the course. This layout provides a mix of aquatic and terrestrial challenges that test both endurance and coordination.
The S category is designed for more experienced competitors with longer distances: four kilometers in swimming split into two segments, 11 kilometers running, and concluding with an additional two-kilometer swim. Participants will face a rigorous schedule that demands stamina and resilience across all three disciplines.
Entry fees are affordable to encourage participation at every level:
- €5 for Jeunes 1 and Jeunes 2 categories.
- €10 for the XS format open to both youth and adults.
- €10 for adult participants in the S category, with a higher fee of €20 available for those who wish to support more advanced athletes.
