HiddenPeak Running Aberdeen Group Training - Union Terrace Gardens - Christmas Lights Chase

Join us on November 24, 2026, for the Hidden Peaks: Christmas Lights Chase through Union Terrace Gardens. This festive evening session combines fitness and fun with tempo runs, threshold efforts, and interval training.
The night begins at St Mary's Church on Carden Place and Albert Terrace with a warm-up jog to loosen up before diving into the main set. Participants will start with 10 minutes of strong, controlled running followed by a brief recovery period. This is immediately followed by five minutes of threshold work, pushing your pace slightly harder.
After another short break, runners tackle five one-minute efforts with equal recovery time in between, designed to enhance speed and rhythm while maintaining team cohesion throughout the session. The event concludes with a 2-person relay race that adds an exciting competitive twist to the evening’s activities before winding down with stretches back at St Mary's Church.
Dress warmly and bring your festive spirit as you admire the Christmas lights along Union Terrace Gardens, enjoying camaraderie and friendly competition in this heart-of-the-city setting. The session is led by experienced coaches who provide guidance and encouragement throughout.
