HiddenPeak Running Aberdeen Group Training - Maidencraig Madness

Get ready to conquer the hills at Maidencraig Madness, an exhilarating hill session designed for runners of all levels. On November 17, 2026, gather at Hazlehead Park's main car park by 6pm and prepare for a challenging evening filled with strength-building climbs.
The event kicks off with a warm-up jog from the parking area to the base of the hills, followed by dynamic drills and mobility exercises. The heart of the session is a grueling 15-minute continuous hill challenge where participants split into two groups and alternate between two steep slopes. Runners push hard up each incline before jogging back down under control for recovery.
After this intense phase, you'll transition to explosive sprints—6 to 8 repetitions of 30-second bursts at full speed, followed by a walk-back recovery on the descent. These efforts are designed to enhance power and technique while pushing your limits.
The evening concludes with a cool-down jog back to Hazlehead Car Park, accompanied by stretching exercises for optimal recovery. This session is not just about physical exertion; it's an opportunity to embrace teamwork and encouragement in a supportive environment.
Maidencraig Madness offers expert guidance throughout the event, ensuring everyone from beginners to seasoned runners feels welcome and supported. Join us at Hazlehead Park on November 17, 2026, for what promises to be a memorable climb up—and down—the hills of Maidencraig!
