About the Event

Kick off the new year, wrap up the holiday season, and jump-start your training with the chilly sister event to Hell Hath No Hurry — Hell Hath No Flurry!

Join us on Saturday, January 3, 2026, as we shake off the last of the holiday wiggles and welcome a new year of miles on the beautiful winter trails of Settlers Cabin Park. This relaxed, community-driven Fat Ass–style run is the perfect reset between the end of the festivities and the beginning of your training season.

📍 Event Details
Location: Algonquin Grove, Settlers Cabin Park
Start Time: 6:00 AM
End Time: Noon
Course: ~5ish-mile loop
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/421172975
Run one loop. Run six. Or string them together and start your year with a 50K.
No pressure. No set distance. Just run as much (or as little) as your legs are ready for.

❄️ Fat Ass Event Format
This is a classic Fat Ass–style run:

No course markings — bring a friend or meet new trail buddies to navigate together
No aid stations — carry what you need and resupply from your car after each loop
No frills, no fees, no whining — just winter trails and community

📝 Registration (Free — Please Sign Up)
While this is a free Fat Ass event, everyone planning to participate is asked to sign up so we know who to expect.
Signing up helps us gauge attendance, communicate updates, and plan post-run goodies — no payment required.

☕ Post-Run Warmth & Giveback
At 11:00 AM, Audrey Burgoon — your savior from the back aid station during the race — will arrive with hot soup, hot chocolate, and coffee for everyone.

Donations will be accepted
All proceeds benefit Urban Impact
Stick around, bring something to share, and “re-calorate” together before heading home to warm showers, warm clothes, and that familiar glow of early-season training legs.

Start the year strong.
Embrace the cold.
Find the fire.

🔥❄️ Hell Hath No Flurry awaits. ❄️🔥

About Pittsburgh

Scenic view of

The pleasure of Pittsburgh remains a well-kept secret. Though not built up by reputation, the city's unique combination of bridges, steep hills, and broad rivers make it one of the most naturally scenic cities in the country. Cheap food and beer abound in this true sports town and the locals are amazingly friendly. A city of about 303,000 (2021) in Allegheny County, at the center of a metro area of about 2.4 million in southwestern Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh is situated at the confluence of three rivers: the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River. The city's unique terrain has resulted in an unusual city design and a hodge-podge of unique neighborhood "pockets" with diverse ethnic and architectural heritage. Pittsburgh has a rich history and, for its size, an unusual array of cultural treasures, largely thanks to the wealth that was generated when Pittsburgh was a hub of industry.
