Embark on an adventurous journey through the rugged trails of Hedianga Farm Trails, located along Achilles Rd & Ajax Ave in Olympus AH, Pretoria. This trail run/walk offers distances ranging from 2km to 15km, catering to runners and walkers with varying levels of experience.
Registration opens at 06:00 on November 8, 2026, allowing participants ample time to prepare for the race start at 06:30. The event welcomes all ages, including kids under 13 years old and adults over 60 who can enjoy reduced entry fees of R80 regardless of distance.
The terrain is challenging but rewarding, with technical trails that test endurance and agility. For those looking for a more manageable route, the 5km option offers mild difficulty with an elevation gain of about 120m. The 10km course adds significant ups and downs, accumulating around 290 meters in total elevation change. Meanwhile, the challenging 15km distance features steep climbs and descents over a dramatic 360-meter ascent.
Participants can expect marked routes with water tables along each trail to keep them hydrated throughout their run or walk. The event concludes by 10:00 am, ensuring everyone has enough time to complete their chosen distance within the set timeframe. A split point between the 15km and 10km courses allows runners who may be fatigued at this stage to opt for a shorter route home.
Hedianga Trail Run/Walk is pet-friendly, making it an inclusive event where furry friends can join in on the fun alongside their human companions. The venue offers snacks, coffee, and drinks to refuel after crossing the finish line, along with free parking and vital points rewards for completing your chosen distance.
