Speed into spring at the 4th annual Hawaii Kai Mile, presented by the Hawaii Running Lab on Sunday, March 29, 2026. This high-octane community event invites runners of all ages and abilities to test their fitness on one of the most scenic mile-long stretches in Honolulu. Starting at the iconic intersection of Hawaii Kai Drive and Lunalilo Home Road, participants will sprint, jog, or walk toward an exhilarating finish right in front of Kaiser High School. Whether you are chasing a personal record or enjoying a morning stroll with family, the Hawaii Kai Mile is where the spirit of aloha meets the thrill of the race.
The Spring 2026 edition brings back the highly anticipated Team Competition, where strength truly lies in numbers. Organizations, schools, churches, and run clubs are encouraged to rally their members for a chance at the Winner-Take-All Prize Pool. For every runner who registers, $1 is added to the pot—meaning if 300 runners sign up, the largest team walks away with $300! With age-group awards for kids (in 3-year blocks) and top-three honors for adults, the competition is as inclusive as it is fierce. Every finisher will be celebrated with a custom medal and post-race snacks to refuel under the Hawaiian sun.
Registration for the Hawaii Kai Mile is now open, with tiered pricing and special discounts for active-duty US Military and youth under 17. For those unable to join the island festivities in person, Virtual Run options are available for both US and International participants, including an official event shirt or hat shipped directly to your door. Secure your spot before the next price increase on March 2nd and prepare to "fly the mile" in one of Hawaii's most beautiful residential neighborhoods!
