Happy Trails Marathon

The Happy Trails Marathon and Half Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, starting at Olympic Park in Lehi, Utah. The event is characterized by a scenic, primarily paved course that follows the Jordan River Parkway Trail, passing through flowering spring trees, dense groves, and local golf courses. Managed by Happy Trails Running, the race focuses on a high-quality, local experience with a capped capacity of 150 runners per distance to ensure a more personal atmosphere. Participants are treated to a post-race breakfast provided by Great Harvest Bread and receive locally crafted finisher medals and high-quality running shirts.

Lehi is a rapidly growing city in Utah County, Utah, located at the northern tip of Utah Lake with a population of approximately 85,000 residents. The demographic profile of Lehi is approximately 84.6% White (Non-Hispanic), 7.4% Hispanic or Latino, 2.1% Asian, 1.2% Black or African American, and 3.8% from two or more races. Registration for the 2026 event remains open until April 17th, with no same-day registration available. Packet pickup is held on the Friday before the race at the Salt Lake Running Store in Sandy, or on race morning starting at 5:30 AM at the starting line. The event utilizes generous cut-off times—7.5 hours for the marathon—to encourage finishers of all levels to complete the course safely. Aid stations are well-stocked with Tailwind, Honey Stinger gels, and other assorted snacks to support runners throughout the technical sections of the paved trail.
