Hair of the Bear 15K & 5K

ShawneeCraft Brewing Co. welcomes the running community for the 8th Annual Hair of the Bear 15K & 5K!  A fun and memorable tradition located in the beautiful and tranquil Pocono Mountains...Begins and ends at Shawnee Inn and ShawneeCraft Brewing Company's amazing property.  Perfect for all ages, beginners, and seasoned runners....Register today! 

The Run:

• Professionally Chip-timed Races Start at 9 AM 

• 2 Courses:

  • 5K Course is 90% paved, well marked, and takes place on property and neighboring roads of Shawnee Inn. Walkers and children welcome to participate and must be registered for the safety of all runners & walkers. (Time Limit - 1 Hour for 5K) SPECIAL PRICING - Children receive discount during registration, ticket for beer not provided for them.

  • 15K Course Starts/Finishes at the Brewery. Includes about 5 miles on the beautiful and well maintained McDade Trail system along the Delaware River, plus approximately 4 miles of paved roads. (Time Limit - 2.5 Hours for 15K) 

  • High-quality Short Sleeve Shirt included. Men's/Unisex, Women's and Youth sizes. Long Sleeve upgrade available for $6 extra. *Please Register by March 21 to guarantee first choice. Many extras are ordered and available while supplies last after Mar. 21.

  • Custom Finisher Medals included for 15K and 5K Finishers

  • Custom Beer Glass included 

  • Water Stations and Course Marshals at important course locations  

The Post Race Fun:

• Brunch Buffet Ticket for all participants and volunteers! Delicious hot breakfast, hot coffee, tea, and more!

• Live Musician performing immediately after race until 12 Noon

• Award Medals for Top 3 Male & Female Overall and Age Group Winners (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 yrs.)
