Gundsømagle Backyard Ultra

Gundsømagle Backyard Ultra invites runners to push their limits and join an endurance challenge like no other. This unique format sees participants complete 6.7-kilometer loops within one-hour intervals, with each loop starting precisely on the hour until only a single runner remains. The race is both extreme and communal, offering a relaxed yet competitive atmosphere where all levels of runners can participate at their own pace.
Runners have full control over how quickly they tackle each lap, allowing them to rest or refuel during the remaining time in between starts. Some may aim for just two loops, while others dream of completing ten or even more than 24 rounds throughout the day and night. The event is a test of mental fortitude as much as physical endurance.
Participants must adhere strictly to rules that ensure fair play: runners are responsible for themselves on the course without assistance from anyone else, and crew members cannot accompany them during loops but can offer support at designated areas between laps. The race requires self-sufficiency and strategic pacing to survive long into the competition.
Gundsømagle Backyard Ultra is a thrilling event where every runner sets their own goals, making it an unforgettable experience for all who dare to take part.
Participants must be 16 years or older on race day. Those aged between 13 and 15 can join with adult supervision but do not need to actively participate in the running portion of the event; they are required to remain at the support area throughout their child's participation period.
